This was a well written and highly entertaining story of a spoiled rich guy whose father forces him into the real world without all the glamour and money he's accustomed to. Daniel under the assumed named of John Williams is sent to the small town of Prarie, Tennessee to learn how to make it in the real world. Unhappy with his fathers decision to teach him a lesson Daniel is forced to work hard and quickly finds although life isn't easy that he never took the time to form binds and really appreciate life. He finds friendship is an employee who takes him in and love in a scared women afraid of being abandoned. Through his ups and downs of his new role in life Daniel finds what matters most in life isn't money,fast cars, or fast women, What matters is the bonds of friendship, family and using what you have to better others lives and help a community flourish again. This book is sweet, fun and fun of laughs and surprises. I throughley enjoyed it and hope you do as well.
One of the rare books that has really met my need for the full fairy tale story. The author took time to build up the story, developed their relationship into a strong bond and their happily ever after. There was no time in the book where I felt the turn of events were unbelievable. Each and every aspect if it, was believable. Even better, were the other love stories that did develop and unfold for the rest of their families. Daniel and Katherine were lovable. Their love of that small town, how they brought it back from the brink are great backgrounds for it all too. Best of all, I always enjoy a great Epilogue. Most romance stories end in the riding into the sunset part, but this went over and beyond the sunset and into many more beyond. I was so happy having that beyond story too. Loved it and happy I got started on the series. I can't wait to get the third book in this series. I've already read the scene one as soon as I was done with this one.
Terri Marie is a new Author for me to read. and I so loved this book. Daniel Giordano is a rich bachelor the heir to sea shipping vessel empire.. His father tried to raise on his own with the help of the butler Carl who had become a friend to his father over the years. Daniel's mother had died during childbirth. Daniel has Lamborhini a new at that all the time 3rd in a two month span)as he is constantly wrecking them going at fast speeds. At any rate, Francesco Giordano decides that it is time his spoiled son needs a lesson in life. So, he decides to send him to Prairie, Tennessee. He got Id with a new name of John Williams, so he had no ties to the family billions and all credit cards were taken away, etc. Giving him an allowance of 350.00 a week, where he must find a job and work his way up to amount to something and learn his own life lessons before taking over Giordano Seas at the end of the year when Francesco wants to retire and turn the business over to him. To make matters even worst he is not flying out on the private family jet but is making him fly coach not first class even and the vehicle waiting for him is a rusted out old truck! They arrive in Prairie and the roach bug infested apartment bldg is stinky beyond imagination. Carl of course was staying in Nashville in a 5 star Hotel to keep an eye on him and to give him his weekly allowance til he could get a job and all. He finds the local bar and quickly is smitten with the waitress Katherine. He spent a rough night and got up and went to the local store and got candles, bug sprays, air fresheners, and frozen foods. Then the grocery stores offered him a job but only PT and only min wage. He said he was grateful but need FT and he was also told he could go to Nashville for other household items. He spent 85.00 in the store and another 57 in gas. Daniel had never had to count his money before and was so unaware the valve of a dollar..Nashville was even more of a challenge. He had to get pots and pan, silverware and such. To the tune of 200 and something, to which he was 40,.00 short. He started to put the pots and pans back but the lady behind him said she would cover the cost and low and behold it was "Katherine". He said he would pay her back! He sped home and sprayed some more and there was a knock, it was Katherine he had forgot his pots n pans well..she told him about farms hiring and jobs were posted in the local store BB. So he went and found the Montoose farm listed. Rosie hired him on the spot and told him to go back, gather his stuff from Beatrice the lady at the apartments and tell her he wants his refund as the state/county has been trying to shut her down due to the condition of her place. He couldnt believe he got 375 back. so at least he has some cash back in his pocket. Now his new digs was a great room in the back of the barn behind the horses..A nice bed, with a table lamp, a homemade quilt. Allot happens in this story, but let's say Rosie is like a Mother to Daniel he never had. Katherine has to overcome her fears of guys 'taking off' once she commits her heart to them. In the end, not only did Daniel learn a HUGE lesson in life but so did his dad, and his dad found love as well. I really enjoyed this book, I loved how the story progressed, how the life lessons were learned, how they dealt with life tragedies, how family is family, how they take care of their own. I certainly will be reading more of Terri's books!!

Daniel Giordano comes from wealth. He has been spoilt his whole life taking everything and everyone for granted. When his father Francesco decides he is looking to retire, he needs his son to step up to the plate and show him that he is capable of running the family empire. He needs to strip his son of all wealth and does so by changing his name, giving him an allowance of $350 per week and putting him in the middle of nowhere, namely Tennessee. Here he will have to get a job and try to make it on his own. Much to the shock of his father, Daniel does just that and actually seems to realise just what a brat he was. When he meets Katherine he is rather smitten with her, especially when he does not have wealth to flaunt and has to work extra hard to get her attention. But Daniel is a bit of a hot-headed man and does not think before he talks. Katherine is wary of men and what they all want, but there is definitely something interesting about “Daniel”. Can these two ever get together and what will Katherine do when she finds out the real identity of Daniel? This story had great potential and the initial plot was great. However, somewhere along the line, it got lost. Also when Francesco got his own love story and then wanted to pay for everyone and everything that was a bit of overkill. Rather keep to one story and leave the readers to guess if Francesco would have had his own love story. The author should have given him his own book instead of adding it to this book. It felt like the author was just trying to fill the pages and it became boring and over the top. At the beginning Daniel was spoilt and then his character grew, he sort of manned up. I was whole heartily rooting for him and then he turned into a wet blanket. As for Katherine, I never really connected with her. And unfortunately, I was not a huge fan of hers. So for me, this started out great and then just nosedived. However, if you are into insta love with a fairy-tale concept, then, by all means, give it a read.
